Warning signs after birth

With any of these signs, go to hospital now. LVNDOC is not an emergency service.

  • Heavy bleeding or large clots
  • Fever
  • A severe headache or blurred vision
  • A fit
  • Chest pain or difficulty breathing
  • A painful, swollen leg
  • A wound that is red or leaking
  • Thoughts of harming yourself or your baby
  • A baby who will not feed, is very sleepy, feels hot or cold, or is breathing fast
