During pregnancy
Go to hospital now.
With any of these signs, do not wait for a reply or your next visit.
- Bleeding from the vagina
- A severe headache, blurred vision or seeing spots
- A fit or loss of consciousness
- Severe pain in your abdomen
- Fever, or feeling very unwell
- Fluid leaking before labour
- Your baby is moving less, or has stopped moving
- Sudden swelling of your face or hands
- Difficulty breathing or chest pain

Dates are estimates. The app does not diagnose, provide contraception, assess pregnancy risk or monitor entries. Discuss symptoms with your clinician.
Planned clinical safeguards
Clinical governance and approved protocols must be established before services begin. Midwives require appropriate Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana registration, and doctors appropriate Medical and Dental Council registration. Credentials and scope must be verified.

Referral and escalation arrangements
Confirmed primary, secondary and emergency referral facilities are required before an area opens. Instructions will be provided when care is available.
These are care options, not steps to complete. Emergencies need immediate hospital care.
Care at home
Planned routine checks may take place at home when a clinician confirms this is appropriate.
Doctor review
A clinician may recommend a medical opinion for findings that need further assessment.
Urgent clinic assessment
Some concerns need prompt examination at a clinic. Follow your clinician's advice on where to go.
Hospital care
Specialist assessment, investigations or treatment may require a hospital rather than a home visit.
Emergency care
Go straight to the nearest hospital or call 112. Do not wait for a home visit, a reply or earlier steps.
Fertility estimates and contraception
Calendar predictions are not medical certainty, especially with irregular cycles. Read the NHS explanation of fertility awareness and its limits.
